English Born and grown up in Germany, I met my later wife Paula in Montpellier and we moved to France. Our first daughter – Gabriela – was born there, and then we moved on to Chile, where our second daughter – Magdalena – was born. In this site, some elements I want to share are presented in three categories: my academic work, music & images and things related to being a citizen.

As associate professor at the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Talca (Chile), I inquire how people understand dynamic systems. The quest for how dynamic and complex situations are represented, how people use their understanding to generate decisions, designs and strategies and how this understanding can change over time is my research…
